08/02/2010 - Anderson, IN (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Indianapolis Colts have agreed to terms with defensive end Jerry Hughes, their first round draft choice.

No terms of the deal were disclosed but the Indianapolis Star is reporting that it is a five-year deal for Hughes, who was the 31st overall selection in the 2010 NFL Draft.

According to the report, Hughes was on the field during the Colts' afternoon practice after missing the morning session.

The 6-foot-3, 257-pound former running back recorded a career-high 58 tackles, 11 1/2 sacks and 16 1/2 tackles for loss last season in becoming just the second player in TCU history to become a two-time consensus All-American.

Hughes was last season's winner of the Ted Hendricks Award and Lott Trophy and the 2009 Mountain West Conference Defensive Player of the Year.
